Joy Soto

Joy has worked with marine mammals for over 15 years.

During the majority of her career she worked with bottlenose dolphins, but she has also cared for common dolphins, Hawaiian monk seals, Humboldt penguins, and a melon-headed whale.

 

Her favorite part of working at her dream job was sharing her passion for these animals with others, talking about their amazing anatomy, teaching people about how positive reinforcement is used to shape behavior, and inspiring people to go out and make a difference for animals in the ocean.
