Maggie Worden
Hello Everyone! My name is Maggie and I completed a degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management from Delaware Valley University.
Throughout college and since graduation I have had many experiences working with animals and educating people about nature.
These experiences included, monitoring loggerhead sea turtle nest in SC and taking on a role as an Environmental Instructor at Pocono Environmental Education Center in PA.
I had an amazing time teaching at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in TX.
I gave guided tours that explored the 7 mile Scenic Wildlife Drive and provided the guests with personal encounters with the animals.
While residing in upstate New York I enjoy spending my free time outdoors.
I love to go birding, hiking, and kayaking. I hope to travel to Costa Rica in the future and explore all the natural wonders of a rain forest.
I am currently volunteering at Antler Ridge Wildlife sanctuary in NJ where I assist the wildlife rehabilitators nursing injured and/or orphan wildlife back to health.
My favorite animals include: sea turtles, tigers, raccoons, and lemurs.
My dream job is to be a zoo educator and to some day in the near future receive my masters degree in conservation education/biology.
Since of was a little girl I knew I wanted to work with animals, and I am excited to be sharing my passion with you through my classes!
